When I was a little girl Sister Averett worked as a nurse for my father who was a doctor. My father passed away 20+ years ago. After the Averetts arrived here in Bentonville, Elder Averett was telling my children a little about my father because my dad passed away before they were born. Elder Averett said that he had been like a father to Sister Averett. Of course, I was too young to know that. As I thought about the situation I appreciated the irony that once my dad watched over her and now Elder and Sister Averett are watching over me. Since last Sunday when they arrived they've done a fair share of dish doing, worked on apartments, drove the van with missionaries, trained new missionaries in health and apartment care, fixed the towel rack, and provided comic relief.
I believe those on the other side know and help those of us living on the earth. I think my dad had something to do with the Averett's serving a mission. Thank's dad!
